The importance of the campaign to boycott Israel

While the campaign to boycott the Zionist entity gathers momentum, I have noticed that some Zionists are attempting to discredit the campaign by claiming tha there are similarities between this boycott  campaign and the Nazi boycott of Jews in the 1930s. As the following table makes clear there is absolutely no basis for arguing that these boycott campaigns are in any way similar.

What was/is the ultimate objective
Physical destruction of the entire Jewish race

What was/is it based on

More academic boycotts in solidarity with the Palestinians

Just a couple of days ago I was delighted to report the great news that the American Studies Society (ASS), had voted in favour of an academic boycott of Israel, It now truns out that America’s largest union of university professors – the Council of Research and Academic Professionals (CRAP) which had long ago agreed to boycott Israel, has voted to extend the boycott to America and hence will be boycotting itself. I regard this as excellent solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

Over 80% of the Union’s members took part in the vote, with a massive 13 voting in favour and only 11 voting against. This came after an impassioned plea by CRAP member Professor Angela Ayers-Davis who said:
Since we are boycotting Israel as a racist, colonial, warmongering, apartheid state, it is .only fair that we do the same to America. After all, America is illegally occupying an entire continent belonging to the indigenous Native Indian population and more recently Puerta Rico and Hawaii as well as the Mexican land of Texas and California. America is also fighting a racist, illegal, colonial war against Islam in many countries. And of course America has a system of apartheid against its black citizens.
The CRAP President, Professor Ivor Loudmouth, eloquently laid out the obligations for professors and the consequences of the boycott:
Since we must boycott all academics in America, we must cease all communication between ourselves and our students. We are therefore arranging for the permanent shut-down of all American universities until the occupation, apartheid and all foreign wars end. Moreover, since the boycott obviously applies to all cultural and social interactions this also means that any professors who are married to each other must get divorced immediately. Since we are also encouraging non-academics to observe the boycott those professors who have non-academic partners should also ask their partners – and indeed all other family members - to cease speaking with them. For the sake of optimal family cohesion we recommend that professors remove themselves entirely from the family home and live in isolation. Professors will still be able to carry out their own unfunded independent research. However, whereas in the past they have been able to publish their work in journals run by themselves or their friends, they will now only be able to submit their articles to themselves and they must be rejected on the grounds of the boycott.  CRAP will provide a template for self-rejection letters.
Obviously, the shut down of all American Universities will have an impact on students. In particular, and most disturbingly, they will no longer be able to spend 4 years being indoctrinated with anti-Israel, anti-Western propaganda. President Loudmouth admitted this was one of the major drawbacks of the boycott, but to counter this he said that professors will be allowed to continue their propaganda work in the main stream media since that work never did have any connection to their academic expertise.

In a parallel move the main British academic union – the Federation of Academics Researchers Teachers and Scientists (FARTS) - which had led the way in boycotting Israel, has also voted to extend the boycott to itself. The FARTS President, Professor Andy Semite, announced
Since we are rightly boycotting Israel as a racist, colonial, warmongering, apartheid state, it is only fair that we do the same to Britain. After all Britain is still illegally occupying most commonwealth countries, not to mention Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands. Britain is also fighting a racist, illegal, colonial war against Islam in many countries. And of course Britain has a system of apartheid against its immigrant minorities.
Since the academic unions in most other Western countries are expected to follow suit, another potential drawback will be the shut down of all of the world’s leading academic journals. However, the EU Foreign Affairs Minister Baroness Catherine Ashton noted, there was a major silver lining in this outcome, stating:
This move is to be welcomed because it will finally end the corrupt academic practise whereby superb journals based in third world countries (such as “The Iranian journal of peace studies”, “The Afghan journal of religious tolerance”, and “The North Korean Journal of Economics”) were largely ignored.
Many other scholars - including Professor Stephen Hawking - also pointed out that the 58 Islamic states (none of which would ever have reason to boycott themselves since they are never involved in any aggressive acts and have an impeccable record of tolerance of religious minorities) will finally be recognized for their outstanding achievements in science, engineering and the law. When asked by a reporter to name some of these outstanding achievements Hawking replied that he believed they had disappeared into one of the black holes he had recently observed.

Academic Boycott of Israel

I am delighted to announce that the American Studies Association has voted to boycott Israeli academics. Just in case anybody was thinking that leftists like us in the Free Palestine movement sometimes make contradictory (or even hypocritical) statements, especially with respect to Islam and the Zionist entity, I want to make it crystal clear that this is not the case. As you will see from this list, there is absolutely no inconsistency in what we leftists believe.

Subject
What every Leftist believes
What every Leftist believes
Academic freedom
Academic freedom is sacrosanct and universal
Boycott all Israeli academics (except for Arab Israelis of course)
Freedom of speech
Freedom of speech is sacrosanct and universal
No platform for Zionists, no platform for ‘Islamaphobes’
Antisemitism
Antisemitism, like Islamaphobia, must always be condemned
The Zionists control America. The Zionists control the media, The Zionists control the world banking system,  etc
Nuclear energy
Must be banned in every country of the world
Iran has an absolute right to nuclear energy
Nuclear weapons
Must be banned in every country of the world
Iran has an absolute right to nuclear weapons
Immigration and freedom of movement
There should be no international borders – every person has a right to live wherever they want
Not a single Jew has a right to live in their historic homeland
Eviction
Evicting any person from their home – even if they have lived there for a matter of hours is a crime against humanity
Every Jew living in Israel, including those who are over a hundred and have never lived anywhere else, must be forcibly ‘returned’ to Poland or Germany
Ethnic cleansing
Attempts to resettle two Arab families illegally squatting in Jewish owned buildings in Jerusalem is ethnic cleansing and must be stopped.
All 600,000 Jews who live on the “West Bank” who paid for their land and houses must be forcibly removed.
Racism
Any oppression of people because of their race, colour, or religion is a crime against humanity and must be aggressively confronted wherever it occurs
Muslim oppression of Jews and Christians is a natural reaction to the crimes of the West; muslim oppression of blacks and other non-Muslims is just a natural cultural phenomenon
Gay rights
Any discrimination of people because of their sexual orientation is a crime against humanity and must be aggressively confronted
Opposing the death penalty for gays in Muslim countries is a colonialist attitude that shows a racist insensitivity to traditional Muslim culture.
Feminism
Any oppression of women is a crime against humanity and must be aggressively confronted
Any attempt to highlight oppression of women in Islamic countries is colonialist attitude that shows a racist insensitivity to traditional Muslim culture.
Colonialism
All colonialists are evil racists who must be destroyed
Islamic colonial conquests of the West are necessary for multicultural diversity
Nationalism
All forms of nationalism are racist
Arab nationalists are heroes
Capital Punishment
Must be universally banned. No government ever has the right to take a life no matter how serious the crime.
The fact that Muslim countries like Iran hang hundreds of people each day (mostly political prisoners) has nothing to with us – those criminals were probably really evil child murderers or even worse - Zionist collaborators
Forced Conformity
Forcing people to dress in a particular way is a crime against freedom and humanity
People who complain about women being forced to wear the burka are racist Islamaphobes
War generally
The ultimate horror and always to be avoided at all costs
We are all Hezbollah, We are all Hamas. Bomb Israel!
Weapons
All weapons everywhere in the world should be made illegal and destroyed
We must arm Hamas, Hezbollah as they are freedom fighting heroes
Armed intervention in other countries
We must never intervene -  if we do they (the Muslims) will have every right to hate us and terrorise us
We must organize a UN force to stop any kind of violence against Muslims by non-Muslims.
The right to self defence
Israel and the West has no right to self-defence against acts of terrorism
Muslim acts of terrorism are always valid acts of self-defence
Religion
Religion is the opium of the masses. It should be ridiculed and banned
All aspects of Islam must be respected
Impact of Religion
Religion causes wars
Islam is the religion of peace

Recognizing that Palestinian Muslims were the only real victims of the Nazis

Another day, another cultural event in London, and (as is standard) another opportunity to promote Jewish and Zionist propaganda. But, for me, the most astonishing exhibit at the "Other Art Fair" in London's Brick Lane was this print by "anonymous guerrilla artist and painter" who goes under the pseudonym Ego Leonard.
Muslims, gays ....and Jews,  in concentration camp uniforms - 'equal' victims of the Nazis
There can be no ambiguity in what the artist is claiming here: Muslims, gays, ... and Jews (dressed in concentration camp outfits) were equal victims of the Nazi holocaust. The myth of Jewish victimhood and 'antisemitism' such as the so-called holocaust is one that is constantly pushed not just by the Zionists, but also by the entire Jewish-owned media. The 'guerilla artist' here sadly assumes that Jews were just as much victims as the Muslims. To cast Jews as equal victims when they were actually among the most enthusiastic participants in the Nazi persecution of Muslims takes the myth of Jewish victimhood to a whole new level, especially as the Jews used the holocaust lie to steal Palestine from the Muslim Arabs.

Just because Hitler was actually inspired by the Muslim Brotherhood's antisemitism is neither here nor there. And the fact that the Palestinian leader Haj Amin al Husseini was a key ally of Hitler who helped set up Hitler's Muslim SS division, was a great compromise since it allowed these heroes to kill many Zionist children in Eastern Europe, who would otherwise have gone on to become killers of Palestinian children.  It is tragic that Hitler's promise to al Husseini that he would be allowed to eliminate all the Zionists in Palestine once the Nazis advanced there, was never followed up, despite  al Husseini having drawn up detailed plans of the elimination programme. This tragic failure to eliminate all Zionist once and for all led to a holocaust committed by the Zionists against the Palestinian Arabs.

The 'guerilla artist' Ego Leonard was also ambivalent in his print suggesting that there is such a place called 'Israel'. However, at least he makes it clear that the Arabs - with the large key - have been the true owners of the land of Palestine since the time of the Muslim prophet Jesus (a good quality image of this print can be seen on the artist's website here).

Arab with ubiquitous key to Palestine
p.s. Unlike Jews, many gays were persecuted by the Nazis (although not so many when compared to Muslim victims). Fortunately, gays are welcomed with open arms in all Muslim countries and especially by Palestinian Arabs.

Free Palestine Now praises Comic Relief and Oxfam's support

We in the Free Palestine Now movement have posted numerous times about how the major charities (like Oxfam) supported by Comic Relief are directly funding the Palestinian cause. This is excellent because it includes funding organisations directly controlled by the democratically elected Hamas government and also, quite rightly, funding propaganda against the evil Zionists. As an example of both the great causes that are funded and the excellent anti-Zionism that results, this report shows  how a Palestinian NGO (Miftah) funded by Oxfam bravely published the true story of how Zionists ritually slaughter Christian children and consume their blood on Passover.

It inspired me to produce this drawing.

We support the Co Op boycott of Israel

In response to the Co-Op's well publicised decision to boycott all goods from illegal Israeli settlements I put all the money I had in a Britannia building society account (Britannia is part of the Co-Op) and wrote a congratulatory letter explaining why. However, I asked them why they were not boycotting all goods from the whole of the Zionist entity as this was clearly hypocritical.

I got the letter shown shown here from Amanda Bailey (Customer Relations). Here is the response I have sent back to her:

Dear Ms Bailey,

Thank you for your letter of 19th July. I have a number of follow-up questions.

My first set of questions relate to your choice of criteria for boycotting countries. You assert that under your “Human Rights and Trade Policy” you withdraw all trade when there is a ‘broad international consensus a settlement is illegal’ and that ‘there are only two examples of such settlements: the Israeli settlements in the Palestinian Occupied Territories and the Moroccan settlements in Western Sahara”.  This suggests that there are some parts of the Zionist entity which are legal. Before addressing that issue, I note from your website that the most progressive countries in the world, namely Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Somalia, Venezuela, Yemen and Zimbabwe are not on your boycott list. That is good because some right-wing Zionist fascists have called for boycotts of those countries. So my questions are:
  1. ‘Occupation’  is the only criteria that you mention; what other criteria do you have as part of your “Human Rights and Trade Policy”?
  2.  Is denial of equal rights to women and/or minorities included in your criteria, and if not why not?
  3.  Is persecution of gays and lesbians included in your criteria, and if not why not?
  4. Is the brutal suppression of ethnic minorities and political dissidents included in your criteria, and if not why not?
  5. Is sponsoring and glorifying terrorism included in your criteria, and if not why not?
  6. Is state sponsored Islamaphobia and anti-Semitism included in your criteria, and if not why not?
  7. Assuming the answer to at least one of questions 1-6 is ‘yes’ then why are you not boycotting goods from the whole of the Zionist entity which, unlike any of the 58 Muslim countries in the world (which are rightly not on your boycott list) is guilty of all of those practises?
  8. Is “conducting illegal wars far from a country’s own borders” one of the criteria, and if so why is the Co-Op not boycotting goods from the whole of the Zionist entity which, unlike the USA,  France, and the UK (which are rightly not on your boycott list) is guilty of such practises when it illegally tries to stop harmless rockets fired from its passive neighbours and even illegally kills freedom fighters entering its territory with no harmful intent other than to kill Zionists?
My next set of questions concerns the issue of ‘illegal settlements’ of which you say there are only two examples (one of which is the Israelis):

9.      Are you aware that, even according to the Zionist controlled United Nations (resolution 242), the West Bank does not belong to any national territory but rather is considered disputed territory whose borders are to be determined under a final status peace agreement? This clearly means the whole of the Zionist entity is illegal.
10. The recent Levy Report demolishes the false narrative of the Zionist entity settlement and occupation by restating many of the obvious points of law; most significantly that the Zionist entity is not an occupying power and did not seize any land from another state. Indeed all of the land that the Zionist entity is accused of occupying in the West Bank is actually land that was seized from it by the invading Jordanian and other Arab armies during its 1948 War of Independence?  Are you aware that this report is a Zionist conspiracy, and that therefore the whole of the Zionist entitiy is illegal?
11. It has been shown that the only legal basis for denouncing the Zionists who returned in 1967 to the homes that they had been expelled from in 1948 as “settlers” is by recognizing the Jordanian conquests of those territories. But those conquests were never recognized or accepted. Not even by the international community. But are you aware that all of this a Zionist conspiracy, and that therefore the whole of the Zionist entitiy is illegal? ?
12. Assuming that your claim of a ‘broad international consensus’ is the 2004 International Court of Justice ruling (which the Zionist entity did not participate in and which has been demolished by the Levy report) are you aware that one of the  ICC ‘judges’ was  Al Khasawneh who clearly had no blatant conflict of interest, since he was an adviser to the King of Jordan and later became the Prime Minister of Jordan? This clearly means the whole of the Zionist entity is illegal.
13. Your notion of occupied territories is quite correct in omitting the approximately 160 other territories around the world that are ‘disputed’ (each of which necessarily involves one country ‘occupying it’ against the wishes of some other country or national group). Are you aware this means that the whole of  the Zionist entity is illegal?
14. In particular your definition correctly omits genuinely brutal occupations such as: the Chinese occupation of Tibet, the Turkish occupation of Northern Cyprus, or even the Russian occupation of Abkhazia, especially as China, Russia and Turkey all of have infinitely better human rights records than the Zionist entity. Are you aware this means that the Zionist entity is the only illegal country in the world?
15. You are presumably aware that one of the disputed international territories is the Falklands Islands, which Argentina claims is illegally occupied by the UK. A significant majority of countries in the UN now agree with the Argentine position. I welcome the  Co-Op not boycotting the UK, but are you aware this means that the whole of the Zionist entity is illegal?
16. Are you aware that any notion of an ‘international consensus’ is fundamentally irrelevant because the United Nations contains 58 Muslim states who provide a built-in ‘consensus’ but (even though they ALL have excellent human rights records)-every one of them is under the control of Zionists?

My next question concerns your assertion that the Co-Op “continue to seek increased trade with Palestinian businesses.” I welcome this decision because everybody knows that the Palestinian Authority is neither corrupt nor guilty of any of the human rights offences listed above. Indeed for anti-Zionism the PA truly are world-beaters with their fine education system (becoming a suicide bomber to kill Zionists is the highest ambition of most Palestinians children); in the Palestinian Authority selling land to a Zionist is correctly punishable by death and thankfully numerous Palestinian citizens have been killed for this crime. So:

17. How is the Co-Op’s “Human Rights and Trade Policy” consistent with continued traded with the brutal, corrupt regime of the Zionist entity ?

And finally, three general questions:

18. Do you believe that the Zionist entity – supposedly the only liberal democracy in the Middle East where all minorities have equal rights – has a better human rights record than such genuine liberal democracies as Syria, Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the Palestinian Authority, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Russia, China etc? If not then why are you not boycotting the whole of the Zionist entity?
19. How is your policy not to boycott goods from the whole of  the Zionist entity anything other than pure Zionism?
20. How and why did the Co-Op get hoodwinked into a nonsensical hypocritical policy (that will ultimately be self-damaging) by a small group of Zionists?

Yours sincerely,

Fiona Warburton
